Who We Are

Common Impact for Development (CID) International is a non-profit organization based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Founded with the conviction that sustainable development depends on human capital, CID works to uncover the leader within every individual.

Through our programs in leadership, entrepreneurship, and scientific research, we empower Congolese youth to become agents of positive change in their communities and beyond.

Founder's message

I founded CID with the deep conviction that every individual carries leadership potential within. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, this potential is immense yet often untapped. Our mission is to create the conditions for every young Congolese to discover, develop, and exercise their leadership.

We don't simply train leaders. We reveal leaders. Men and women capable of transforming their community, their country, and the world. This conviction drives us every day.

Our Journey

2012

The Beginning

CID International was founded in Kinshasa by a group of young Congolese visionaries determined to transform their community through education and leadership.

2015

First Training Programs

Launch of the first structured leadership and entrepreneurship training programs, reaching hundreds of young people across Kinshasa.

2018

National Expansion

CID expanded its operations to multiple provinces, establishing partnerships with local organizations and international development agencies.

2020

Digital Transformation

Adaptation to digital platforms during the global pandemic, launching online training modules and virtual mentoring programs.

2023

Growing Impact

Reached over 5,000 youth trained across eight provinces, with measurable results in entrepreneurship and community leadership.

2026

Vision 2030

Launch of the strategic plan to reach every province of the DRC by 2030, with a focus on scientific research and innovation.
