About CID

From a personal quest to a shared vision for development.

It began with a profound quest: to understand life's true purpose and discover what we could genuinely contribute to the world. That quest gave rise to a conviction that everyone is called to play a part in the development of their community.

One reality soon became clear: many people do not see themselves as agents of change. They are unaware of their potential, their abilities and sometimes even the value of what they can contribute. Undiscovered potential remains buried. The younger generation also needed genuine role models whose lives and actions show that it is possible to dream, learn, create and transform one's environment.

A calling began to grow within us. To contribute to sustainable development, we chose to believe in every person's potential and to invest humbly in human capital. We became convinced that leadership, entrepreneurship and scientific research could be powerful drivers of transformation.

Common Impact for Development, CID, was born from that conviction. Common reflects our belief that development is a shared endeavour involving every field. Impact means that convictions must become actions and actions must create real change. Development gives this work its purpose: contributing to sustainable progress.

The story continues through young people discovering their potential, ideas coming to life, individuals choosing to build, research becoming practical solutions and communities trusting their own abilities. We look back with gratitude while holding on to our founding conviction: every person carries something that can help change their community, their country or the world.
